Gerry comes to Newport Sports Management with a rich and diverse marketing background from Canada’s largest loyalty program - AIR MILES. In his time at AIR MILES, Gerry managed one of the largest digital and social media marketing platforms in the country and worked with over 100 of Canada’s leading brands to devise strategic marketing campaigns for a network of over 11 million Canadians.
Complimenting Gerry’s invaluable digital marketing expertise, he also managed the AIR MILES brand and sponsorship platform, where he lead experiential efforts for both Live Nation and the NBA. With his expertise in empowering brands to realize the impact of both sport and music sponsorship, Gerry is the perfect addition to the Newport family to head up brand partnership strategy on behalf of our clients.
In addition to Gerry’s responsibilities managing brand partnerships, he leads the charge in developing personal athlete brands and empowering corporate sponsors to recognize the full potential of an athlete endorsement through strategic digital marketing insights and best practices.
Gerry is a graduate of McGill University.
