Eberle and Strome trade places in swap deal June 22, 2017

Jordan Eberle and Ryan Strome will find themselves on new teams this upcoming season, after being involved in a 1-for-1 trade on Thursday. Drafted 22nd overall in the 2008 Draft, the 27-year-old Eberle will move on to the New York Islanders after playing his first 7 NHL seasons with The Edmonton Oilers. There he amassed 382 points in 507 games, including a career-high 76 (34 goals, 42 assists) in the 2011-12 season. Strome, meanwhile, will be entering his 5th NHL season in 2017-18, six years removed from being drafted 5th overall in 2011. His best campaign came in 2014-15, where he tallied 50 points (17 goals, 33 assists) and a +23 rating in 81 games.
