Larsson signs new contract July 12, 2017
Johan Larsson inked a new deal with the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, signing a two-year, $2.95 million contract extension. Selected 56th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, the 24-year-old center has solidified himself on the Sabres’ 3rd line, playing a smart defensive game while chipping in offensively. In an injury-shortened season in 2016-17, the Swedish forward tallied 6 goals and 5 assists in 36 games.
