Dzingel inks new deal after breakout season July 21, 2017

Ryan Dzingel signed a 2-year, $3.6 million contract extension with the Ottawa Senators on Friday. The 25-year-old forward put it altogether in his first full season in the NHL, tallying 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) in 81 games. Drafted 204th overall by the Senators back in 2011, the Wheaton, Illinois-native improved each year with Ottawa’s AHL affiliate team, Binghamton, registering 77 points in 119 games. His big break came during the 2015-16 season, when Ottawa called him up. He featured in 30 games with the big club, tallying 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists).
