Ritchie has what it takes to break out in 2017-18 September 12, 2017

After tallying 24 points (16 goals, 8 assists) in his first full NHL season last year, power forward Brett Ritchie looks poised to break out in 2017-18. Despite getting just 12:53 of ice-time for the Dallas Stars in 2016-17, the Orangeville, Ontario-native managed to finish second on the team in hits (153), 3rd in shots on goal (167) and fourth in goals (16). To top it off, despite the fact that the Stars finished with a losing record, Ritchie led the team with a +11 rating. With a bit more ice-time and offensive opportunities, the big-bodied forward could take a big step in 2017-18.
