Theodore signs seven-year contract with Vegas September 25, 2018

The Vegas Golden Knights and Shea Theodore came to terms on a 7-year, $36.4 million contract on Monday, a deal that will see the up-and-coming defenseman in a Golden Knights jersey through the 2024-25 season. The Langley, British Columbia-native really came into his own last year with the expansion side. After a short stint in the AHL provided evidence that he was clearly NHL-ready, Theodore quickly became a fixture of Vegas’ defensive corps during the regular season, tallying an impressive 29 points (6 goals, 23 assists) in just 61 games played. He would continue his great run of form into the playoffs, leading all Vegas Golden Knights’ defensemen in points with 10 (3 goals, 7 assists), while averaging nearly 22 minutes a game.
