Steel tabbed to make an NHL impact in 2019-20 August 01, 2019

Sam Steel is one of the Anaheim Ducks’ top prospects expected to have a breakthrough season in 2019-20, after splitting time between their AHL-affiliate San Diego and Anaheim last year. Drafted 30th overall by the club in 2016, the 21-year-old center was effective at every level last season, tallying 41 points (20 goals, 21 assists) with San Diego and 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) with Anaheim. He was excellent in his return to the Ducks late in his 2018-19 campaign, where he registered 8 points in just 9 games, including his first career hat trick.
