Stamkos, Schultz and Eberle impress in win over Sweden May 10, 2013

Steven Stamkos is not letting the disappointment of missing the NHL playoffs get to him. In four games thus far in the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships, Stamkos leads the Canadian squad with 3 goals and 4 assists, tying him for first overall in the tournament.

The Lightning marksman was at it again last night, netting the winning goal in Canada’s 3-0 victory over Sweden.  Earlier in the week, Stamkos racked up 4 points in a convincing, 7-1 rout of Norway.

Justin Schultz had one of his better games to date, assisting on Stamkos’ second-period, PP goal. The rookie blue-liner stood out, impressing with his puck distribution and vision on the ice.

Jordan Eberle had another solid game for Canada, setting up his linemates for numerous opportunities. The Oiler standout has 5 assists in 5 games thus far in the tournament.
