Dumba gets a hero welcome May 24, 2016
Fresh off a gold medal triumph with Team Canada at the IIHF World Hockey Championships, Matt Dumba returned home to a hero’s welcome at Calgary International Airport, where his friends, family and fans gathered to greet him.
The 21-year-old defenseman played a pivotal role for Canada in Russia, tallying 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and a +8 rating in 10 games at the tournament. The native of Regina, Saskatchewan is coming off an excellent sophomore season with the Minnesota Wild that saw him set career-highs in points (26), goals (10) and assists (16).
