Leipsic impressing in the AHL November 25, 2016

22-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Brendan Leipsic has gotten off to a hot start in the AHL this season, tallying 19 points through his first 15 games. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba currently leads the league in points, which is nothing new for the Marlies star. While playing for the Portland Winterhawks in the WHL, Leipsic registered a league-high 120 points, leading his team to a spot in the Memorial Cup. The offensive dynamo showed well in a 6-game stint with the Maple Leafs last year, scoring a goal and adding two assists, and if his current run of form is any indication, Leipsic will be getting another chance to impress in the NHL sooner than later.
