Perry makes history with latest triumph June 24, 2016

Corey Perry is good at a lot things on the ice, but one key quality probably outshines them all: He is a winner. Late last month the 31-year-old superstar led Canada’s national team to an IIHF World Championships gold medal, and with it he created a little bit of history. He joined fellow Peterborough-native Scott Niedermayer as the only other hockey player to win a world championship, Olympic gold medal, Stanley Cup, world junior hockey championship and a Memorial Cup. Perry remains one of the elite sharpshooters in the NHL, tallying over 30 goals (34) in 2015-16, the 5th time in 6 years he has accomplished that feat.
