Monahan in the midst of NHL’s longest scoring streak December 19, 2016

The Calgary Flames have been one of the best teams in the month of December, and a lot of that can be traced to the play of Sean Monahan, who is currently on a nine-game scoring streak. The 22-year-old center explains that having the right mentality and focus has played a big part in his recent success. The Toronto, Ontario-native has tallied 5 goals and 6 assists during the streak, leading the Flames to an impressive 6-2-1 record in that span, and a tentative hold on the last wildcard spot in the NHL’s Western Conference.
