Flames select Sean Monahan with the 6th pick overall July 08, 2013

With the Jarome Iginla era now officially over, the Calgary Flames first big piece in the rebuild will be Sean Monahan, a 6’2 187 lbs play-making center with the kind of hockey sense and leadership skills that could one day make him their next captain.  The native of Brampton, Ontario has all the tools to be a top player in the league, compared with the likes of Gabriel Landeskog and Eric Staal.
