Subban receives national honour from Governor General March 02, 2017

A year and half removed from his generous donation to the Montreal Children’s Hospital, PK Subban returned home to receive an award for community service on Wednesday. The All-star defenseman accepted the Meritorious Service Decoration from Governor General David Johnston in the very location named for his act of kindness, the P.K. Subban Atrium of the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Subban shared the stage with 12 other Quebecers, who received the Sovereign Medal for Volunteers, which “pays tribute to the dedication and exemplary commitment of volunteers.”
