Sam Steel has been on fire this season March 22, 2017
Few players, if any, have been more impressive than Regina Pats’ center Sam Steel this year. Drafted 30th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in last year’s NHL draft, the Sherwood Park, Alberta-native has been nothing less than sensational in 2016-17, leading all of Junior Hockey in points with 130 (50 goals, 81 assists) in just 66 games. The 19-year-old’s breakout campaign has been a big reason why the Regina Pats enter the WHL Playoffs as the favourite to reach the Memorial Cup.
