Few players, if any, have been more impressive than Regina Pats’ center Sam Steel this year. Drafted 30^th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in last year’s NHL draft, the Sherwood Park, Alberta-native has been nothing less than sensational in 2016-17, leading all of Junior Hockey in points with 130 (50 goals, 81 assists) in just 66 games. The 19-year-old’s breakout campaign has been a big reason why the Regina Pats enter the WHL Playoffs as the favourite to reach the Memorial Cup.
