Skjei has been one of the best rookie defenseman this season March 24, 2017
Brady Skjei may not have entered the season with a lot of buzz, but the young New York Rangers defenseman has quickly become one of the best players in this year’s rookie class. The 22-year-old Minnesota-native has shined on both sides of the ice in 2016-17, registering 4 goals, 30 assists and a plus/minus rating of +15. Skjei’s 34 points places him second in NHL rookie defenseman scoring, an impressive feat considering he is averaging just 17:08 minutes per game.
