McIlrath integral to Griffins’ Calder Cup run May 30, 2017

After being traded for a second time already this season, Dylan McIlrath seems to have found a home in Detroit, and more specifically with the Grand Rapids Griffins, who are vying for their 2^nd Calder Cup championship in the last five years. The 25-year-old defenseman has been a big addition to the Griffins’ blue line, both literally and figuratively. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 lbs., the Winnipeg-native has been a physical force for Grand Rapids, and a calming influence on the back end. Through 13 games, he leads all skaters in plus/minus (+12), while chipping in with 5 assists.
