6th overall pick Sean Monahan signs entry-level deal July 24, 2013
A little under a month after being taken 6th overall in the 2013 NHL entry draft by the Calgary Flames, Sean Monahan has signed his very first professional contract. It’s a two-way deal that will see the former Ottawa 67’s star make $832,500 at the NHL level, or $70,000 in the AHL. When factoring in performance bonuses, however, Monahan could make as much as $1.775 million annually.
