Norris taken 19th overall by the San Jose Sharks July 07, 2017

Josh Norris was selected 19th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2017 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old American-born forward was a top player in the USHL last season, leading his team the U-18 United States Development Program (USNTDP) in goals (12) and points (26) in 25 games played. Norris also showed well at the 2017 U-18 World Junior Championships, where he helped the U.S. capture a gold medal. The two-way center tallied 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) in the competition, while acting as one of the team’s alternate captains.
