Justin Abdelkader slowly taking over as Holmstrom replacement July 26, 2013

Coming off a season that saw him score a personal best 10 goals, Justin Abdelkader is starting to come into his own as player. After beginning the season on the 3^rd line, the rugged forward finally made his mark playing on Pavel Datsyuk’s wing, his crashing and banging in front of the crease reminiscent of recently retired Red Wing Tomas Holmstrom.
