Hornqvist takes Cup back to Sweden August 02, 2017
Patric Hornqvist made good use of his time with the Stanley Cup this week, taking the trophy back to where his hockey career began at the Vilunda Ice Arena in Vasby, Sweden. Met by more than a thousand fans, the now two-time Stanley Cup Champion was surprised by having his No. 18 jersey retired by Vasby IK, the youth team he played for between 2002-2005. The 30-year-old winger tallied 5 goals and 4 assists during the Penguins Stanley Cup run this past spring.
