Cullen looks to end career in his home state August 17, 2017

After a second Stanley Cup conquest with the Pittsburgh Penguins this past season, Matt Cullen is returning home to Minnesota for what could be his last NHL season. The soon to be 41-year-old center signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday, worth a reported $1 million. Despite being one of the elder statesmen of the league, Cullen has continued to remain productive on the ice. After tallying 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 72 regular season games, he was equally effective in the playoffs, playing in all 25 games of the Penguins’ Stanley Cup run where he registered 2 goals and 7 assists.
