Markstrom ready to make big step in 2017-18 September 26, 2017

Jacob Markstrom is heading into the 2017-18 season as Vancouver’s No.1 goaltender, and he is not taking the biggest opportunity of his career lightly. The 27-year-old netminder feels like he has grown and improved in every season he has played to date in the NHL, and deems himself ready for a heavy workload this season. As the Canucks’ backup in 2016-17, the Swedish goaltender had one of his most consistent campaigns of his career, registering a 2.63 goals-against-average, and a save percentage of .910.
