Monahan steps up in Flames’ triumph January 05, 2018

Sean Monahan was named the 3rd star last night, as the Calgary Flames came from behind to defeat the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 4-3. Down 2-0 after the 1st period, the Flames scored 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd period, including Monahan’s eventual game-winner with just 45 seconds left in the frame. The team’s leading goal scorer would finish the game with 2 points (goal, assist), 4 shots on net and a +2 rating. For the season, the Brampton native has 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 40 games played.
