Against all odds, Stamkos is back to being among the NHL’s best January 26, 2018
After countless injury setbacks seemed to put his career in perpetual stasis, Steven Stamkos has managed to overcome it all, propelling himself back to the top of the heap. The 27-year-old superstar center is now healthy and playing better than ever, and will be a central figure during this weekend’s All-star festivities. The Markham-native has not only been one of the best player’s in the league this season, but also a leader on a serious Stanley Cup contender. He is a major reason why his Tampa Bay Lightning currently hold the best record in the league (34-12-3). Through 49 games, Stamkos sits 4th overall in points (58), and leads the NHL in power play goals (12).
