Kane earns new contract extension with Sharks May 25, 2018

Evander Kane signed a new 7-year contract on Thursday, after leading the San Jose Sharks into the second round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The 27-year-old winger was integral to the Sharks’ excellent run-in to the playoffs, tallying 14 points (9 goals, 5 assists) in 17 games, following his trade deadline acquisition. He would go on to add 5 points (4 goals, 1 assist) in 9 playoff appearances, including a game-winning goal and 35 shots on net.
