Oleksiak made big strides in 2017-18 June 15, 2018
Jamie Oleksiak took his game to new heights this past year, with a mid-December trade from Dallas to Pittsburgh sparking his resurgence. Always known for the rugged side of his game, the big-bodied defenseman became an offensive threat on the blue line with the Penguins, registering 4 goals and 10 assists in 47 games with his new club. He would eventually finish the regular season with a new career-high in points (17) and plus/minus (+7), and continued his fine play in the playoffs, where he featured in all 12 of the Penguins’ games, scoring once.
