Leipsic tapped to be a breakout candidate in 2018-19 June 29, 2018

Brendan Leipsic has proved himself to be an offensive performer at every level in his hockey career to date, and with the 2018-19 season around the corner, the 24-year-old looks poised for a breakout campaign. After averaging nearly a point per game in back-to-back season for the AHL’s Toronto Marlies (105 points in 114 games played), the crafty winger got his first taste of regular NHL minutes in 2017-18, splitting time (58 games) between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Vancouver Canucks. Acquired by the Canucks at the tail end of the season, Leipsic offered a glimpse of his full offensive potential, registering 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in just 14 games played down the stretch.
