Cullen defies the odds, returns for 21st season July 12, 2018
Matt Cullen and the Pittsburgh Penguins agreed to terms on a 1-year, $650,000 contract on July 1st. The 41-year-old center showed no signs of slowing down last season with the Minnesota Wild, with whom he tallied 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) in 79 games played. A veteran of 20 NHL seasons, the Minnesota-native returns for a second stint with the Penguins. He previously played with the club from 2015 to 2017, where he helped guide them to back-to-back Stanley Cup triumphs.
