Contracts & Signings

Dumba and Wild come to terms on long term deal July 23, 2018

The Minnesota Wild made a strong commitment to Matt Dumba on Saturday, signing the young defenseman to a five-year contract extension that will see him earn $6 million, annually. Drafted by the Wild 7th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the soon–to-be 25-year-old has steadily improved since joining the club as a regular at the beginning of the 2014-15 season. Since that campaign, he has seen his point totals and ice-time steadily rise, culminating with career-highs in games (82), time of ice per game (23:49) and points (50) in 2017-18.
