Hamhuis returns to Nashville as free agent signing August 01, 2018
Free agent Dan Hamhuis is returning home to the team who drafted him back in 2001. The 35-year-old veteran defenseman agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, after spending the last 2 seasons with the Dallas Stars. Hamhuis began his career with Nashville back in 2003-04, eventually becoming one of the top shutdown defensemen in the league. The Smithers, British Columbia-native will enter his 15th NHL season having totaled 343 points (59 goals, 284 assists) in 1031 games played.
