Bean a player to watch at Traverse City 2018 September 07, 2018

After finishing his junior hockey career on a high note with 18 points in 14 games during the WHL Playoffs, defenseman Jake Bean will be looking to turn heads at the upcoming Traverse City prospect tourney. Drafted 13^th overall by Carolina in 2016, the Calgary-native will use the Traverse City tournament (which will feature players with both AHL and NHL experience) as a training ground for his first full season of professional hockey. The 20-year-old rearguard is slated to suit up with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL in 2018-19.
