Sanheim named 1st star in Flyers’ win February 01, 2019

Travis Sanheim scored the game-winning goal in overtime last night, as the Philadelphia Flyers took down the Boston Bruins by a score of 3-2. The 22-year-old defenseman also tallied an assist on the game-tying goal in the 3rd period, which would eventually send the game to overtime. He would go on to finish the game with 2 points, 4 shots on net and 3 blocked shots. The native of Elkhorn, Manitoba has already eclipsed all of his offensive totals from his rookie campaign in 2017-18. Through 51 games to date, Sanheim has registered 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) while averaging over 18 minutes of ice time per contest.
