Monahan shines in preseason tilt September 19, 2013

As Sean Monahan continues his quest to crack the 23-man opening day roster for the Flames, his two-goal performance on Tuesday versus the New York Islanders will not hurt his chances. Still, considering how difficult it is to make the team as an 18-year-old, he knows he cannot sit on his laurels.  Chances are looking good for the Ottawa 67’s alum, though, as he is already garnering rave reviews from coaches and players alike.
