Canucks take Podkolzin with 10th pick overall June 28, 2019

Vasili Podkolzin is now a member of the Vancouver Canucks, after being taken 10th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old winger was ranked 2nd overall among European skaters on the NHL Central Scouting prospect list, and the Canucks believe he will be able to make an instant impact with the club upon his arrival from Russia. The Moscow-native put in an impressive performance at this past year’s edition of the World Junior U-20 Championships, tallying 3 points in 7 games despite being one of the youngest players in the tourney (17 years old).
