Markstrom provides special performance in Canucks’ win February 13, 2020
Jacob Markstrom was named the first star of the game last night, as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-0. The 30-year-old, Swedish goaltender recorded his 2nd shutout of the season in the win, steering aside an incredible 49 shots in the process. The 49 saves were the most recorded by Swedish-born goalie in a shutout, surpassing the old mark of 45.
