Kessel shows class on Raymond empty-netter October 17, 2013

If you thought Phil Kessel was all about the goals, think again. In Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild, the renowned sniper made a classy move by passing up the chance to tap in an easy empty net goal. Few would have batted an eye if Kessel had swatted in Mason Raymond’s shot, which could have easily been discerned as a pass. Instead he went out of his way to let it go in untouched, garnering respect across the league for his selfless act.
