Connor Bedard named to Canadian Junior Men’s Hockey Team at 16 December 13, 2021 - The Hockey News

Connor Bedard joins an elite group of 16-year-olds to have made Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship. Previously, the only players to play for the Canadian World Junior Team at 16 were Wayne Gretzky, Eric Lindros, Jason Spezza, Jay Bouwmeester, Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid.

Bedard and Team Canada open the tournament on Boxing Day against the Czech Republic at Edmonton's Rogers Place.
