Buffalo Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin has been named a finalist for the James Norris Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the NHL’s top defenseman. Dahlin joins Cale Makar and Zach Werenski as finalists after recording a career-high 74 points and helping lead Buffalo to its first playoff berth since 2011.

Dahlin is the second defenseman in franchise history to be named a Norris finalist and could become the first Sabres player to win the award
