Rangers re-sign Lundqvist to 7-year extension December 04, 2013
Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers agreed to terms on a 7-year contract extension today, a deal that will see the goalie earn a reported $8.5 million per season. The 31-year-old Swede has been the model of consistency since joining the Rangers in 2005, winning 30 or more games in his first seven seasons. His accolades include a Vezina trophy, three all-star game selections, and a nomination for the Hart trophy, the award given to the NHL’s most valuable player.
