Parise to captain U.S. Olympic hockey team in Sochi January 31, 2014
A day after exploding for 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) and 9 shots on net in a 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, Wild forward Zach Parise was named captain of the U.S. Olympic team, Friday. An integral member of the American squad that won silver in Vancouver 4 years ago, the nine-year NHL veteran has 34 points in 41 games this year for the Minnesota Wild.
