Backes and Parise score as Americans win 5-2 February 20, 2014

Team U.S.A. advanced through to the semifinals, Wednesday, after beating the Czech Republic, 5-2. David Backes led the charge for the Americans with 2 points, including a key goal with just 1.8 seconds left in the first period. Zach Parise put the game on ice halfway through the second, slotting home his first goal of the tournament to make the score 4-1.
