Palat claims rookie of the month honours April 02, 2014

Tampa Bay Lightning’s Ondrej Palat was named the NHL’s rookie of the month on Monday, after leading all rookies in both points (16) and assists (11).  It has been an unbelievable season for the 23-year-old, who literally has come out of nowhere to become one of the top young players in the league. Taken 208^th overall in the 2011 Draft, the Czech-born player is currently first amongst rookies in plus/minus differential (+28), second in assists (34) and second in points (53).
