Iginla signs multi-year deal with the Avalanche July 02, 2014

After spending a short sojourn in the Eastern Conference with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins, Jarome Iginla is moving back out west, this time with the Colorado Avalanche. Iginla, who spent the first sixteen seasons of his career with the Calgary Flames, celebrated his 37^th birthday with a three-year, $16 million deal on Tuesday.  The product of Edmonton, Alberta had a strong campaign in 2013-14, scoring 30 goals and dishing out 31 assists in 78 games. He also placed 5^th in the NHL in plus/minus with a rating of +34.
