Habs and Subban agree on blockbuster deal August 04, 2014

The Montreal Canadiens finally got their man on Saturday, locking down their No. 1 defenseman P.K. Subban on an eight-year contract worth $72 millon.  The 25-year-old homegrown talent is one of the most talented, dynamic players in the league, a superstar in the NHL for years to come.  After being named the Norris Trophy winner in 2012-13, Subban went on to record 53 points in 82 games last year, including a team-high 14 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Toronto, Ontario-native was also named to Team Canada’s gold medal-winning side at the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014.
