Sutter signs on with Pens for two more years August 06, 2014

The Pittsburgh Penguins locked up their final big piece of the puzzle, Tuesday, signing Brandon Sutter to a two-year contract worth $6.6 millon. The 25-year-old has become an integral part of Pittsburgh’s 3rd line unit, taking on a role as the team’s shutdown center. In 2013-14 he played a big role on the penalty kill, where he lead the Penguins with three shorthanded goals. He also stepped up his game in the playoffs, setting career highs in goals (5) and points (7) in 13 games played.
