Hurricanes sign 1st rounder to new contract August 08, 2014
Haydn Fleury and the Carolina Hurricanes came to terms on a three-year, entry-level deal on Friday. Drafted 7th overall in the 2014 Draft, the Carlyle, Saskatchewan-native was one of the best defensemen in the WHL last year, leading the Red Deer Rebels in plus/minus (+15) and points by a D-man with 46.
