Iginla excited to play with Avs young stars August 22, 2014

Brought in to provide a veteran scoring presence with the Colorado Avalanche this season, Jarome Iginla sees a lot of potential in his new team, one that boasts two Calder Memorial Trophy winners in the last three years. The native of Edmonton, Alberta enters the season with 560 goals, good for 25^th all time.  Iginla was signed to a three-year deal this July after he posted excellent numbers in his one year with the Boston Bruins (30 goals, 31 assists).  With a plethora of talent in Colorado, everything points to another successful campaign for the 37-year-old sniper.
