Monahan ready to take on bigger responsibilities this season August 25, 2014
Calgary Flames center Sean Monahan may have played his first year like a seasoned veteran, but his opponents still treated him like a rookie. In year two, the 19-year-old offensive dynamo knows he will be a marked man, and he is looking forward to the challenge. With veteran stars like Jarome Iginla now long gone, Monahan will be a main focal point of the Flames’ offense. Despite the added pressure, the Ontarian relishes the opportunity of taking on a starring role, and is looking to improve on a rookie season that saw him score 22 goals in 75 games.
