Schultz signs with Oilers on a one-year deal August 29, 2014

The Edmonton Oilers and Justin Schultz have agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.675 million contract today, and the 24-year-old says he is ready to prove his worth in the short and long term. Signed as an undrafted defenseman out of the University of Wisconsin in 2012, Schultz has shown that he can potentially be a No. 1 D-man in the NHL. He led the Oilers in ice-time last year with 23 minutes a game, scoring 11 goals and 22 assists in 74 games.
